Yu Ying Learning Center offers online STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) education. Students are able to easily follow along with the teacher, ask question and interact with other students in the group through our online platform. The online STEAM program contains various of art, science, technology, engineering, dancing and math activities and fun story time. It encourages students at every age to think deeply so that they have the chance to become the innovator, leaders and educators. The online program also focuses on improving students's communication skills, problem solving skills and critical thinking.

Age group: From TK to Grade 8th

Online Scratch Coding Program:

We are offering online scratch coding program. It is an excellent opportunity for students to dive into programming logic with Scratch developed by MIT Media Lab. Students will use block codes and characters to gain a foundation in computational thinking, creating animated stories and designing playable games. The program sparks students's creative minds and develop essential STEAM skills for our tech-driven world. We want to ensure students gain the best learning result, so we only offer small size of class for each session. Students will get enough attention during class. Our experienced instructor will assist students to complete creative projects step by step.

Grade 4-5: Beginner Scratch Programming (No coding experience need! )

Session: 1 hour

  • Learn fundamental understanding and utilization of core coding.
  • Step by step explanations of the code and fun programming challenges.
  • Learn how to create interactive stories and fun games by effectively applying core coding concepts.
  • Improve problem solving skills and learn how to debug programs.
  • Spark children’s imagination and creativity.

Grade 4-5: Advanced Scratch Game Development Adventure

Session: 1 hour

  • Strengthen fundamental understanding of core coding.
  • Apply coding knowledge to amazingly innovative projects.
  • Design and build more complex playable video games.
  • Step by step explanations of the code and fun programming challenges.
  • Spark children’s imagination and creativity.
  • Improve problem solving skills and learn how to debug programs.

Number of students for each session: 6 students max.
